The Training Setting

There are church leaders, youth, and villagers coming to learn the principles of Farming God's way - & the demonstration of compost. They spend about 45 minutes watching the video showing the principals in farming domain. The key to establishing the high quality of compost staying faithful to what God has given us in our hands maximizing the resources around us.

They then came out to pratice doing with their peers, directed and instructed by Andre.

Engaging them in doing helped them to see the real ways of starting something simple, but highly valuable for their crops.

The components to build such great compost, 45% green ( fresh, cut- off branches, ...bushes , unused plants ..) , 45% brown ( dry, dead leave, dry branches ...sawdust ..., dead wheet..etc), 10% manure (preferably fresh , containing more nitrogents) , and water.

The trainees were guided to stack layers of the mentioned materials on of top of each other along with spraying water as compost needs water as human to break down the green and the brown.

Andre explained the process of the compost and how it can enrich the soil to make the plant healthy.

The youth were asked by the organizing team whether they had eve done this before. They remarked that they had never seen such practice, and that they were planning to bring what they learnt back to their community.

Everyone in the group took turns to practice building compost from the beginning stage to the final one.

They were happily cooperating and observing with their learning heart.

The simple steps made it quite easy for them and convinced them to try to build it at their community.

The training on building a high quality compost ended very well. Everyone had a lunch break time making a great fellowship sharing the life experience in their ministries. Now, they have come to learn something important that they can bring back to their community to make positive impact in agriculture domain.
